Minnesota Vikings linebacker and College Football Hall of Famer Jeff Siemon wore this white Vikings road jersey circa 1973. Siemon was named to his first Pro Bowl in 1973 after leading the Vikings to a 12-2 record and a Super Bowl VIII appearance against the Miami Dolphins. Siemon recorded two interceptions and two fumble recoveries in 1973 for the Vikings’ lights-out defense ranked second in the NFL at 12.0 points surrendered per game. Siemon played his entire career for the Vikings from 1972 through 1982 and was named to the Vikings 50 Greatest Players list. The four-time Pro Bowler played his college ball at Stanford and was selected by the Vikings with the 10th overall pick of the 1972 NFL Draft.
This offered Vikings road jersey is white, with an attached crotch strap and purple-yellow-purple stripes on both sleeves. Siemon’s number “50” is printed on the chest, back, and shoulders in purple numerals, while “SIEMON” is sewn across the back shoulders in purple tackle twill over a matching white nameplate. Siemon has signed the lower front chest of this jersey in purple marker. A Vikings Sand-Knit tag and a Sand-Knit size “48” tags are sewn on the front of the crotch strap.
