Hall of Famer Roger Wehrli was one of the best cornerbacks in NFL history. “The term ‘Shutdown Corner’ originated with Roger Wehrli. There wasn’t a better cornerback I played against. He was a great, great defensive back. You had to be aware of him all the time.” That was a quote from Hall of Fame quarterback Roger Staubach. This offered St. Louis Cardinals Rawlings helmet was worn by Wehrli circa 1974-75. This now off-white helmet features the Cardinals bird decal affixed on each side of the helmet. “CARDINALS” is on a white sticker affixed to the padding that holds the screws on the front edge of the crown. A gray two lined face mask is on the front and Wehrli’s number “22” decals are affixed to the back of the helmet in black. The interior padding is still intact and a Riddell chin strap is included. This helmet comes with a LOA from PM&G for the game use.
