As one-half of the famed “Bash Brothers”, Jose Canseco’s arrival in Oakland ushered in a new era of dominance for the A’s. Canseco’s 1988 season saw the slugger become the first 40/40 (home runs/stolen bases) player in baseball history and won the American League MVP. Canseco used this size 7 1/8 American Baseball Cap Company (ABC) helmet circa 1988. This helmet was constructed with high-impact plastic and is dark green with a yellow brim. “A’s” is affixed to the front in a white sticker with Canseco’s number “33” affixed to the back with individual white number 3’s, along with the ABC logo. Showing outstanding game use and in its original condition, the inside of the helmet is lined with foam padding for the rear and top of the head, as well as the left ear flap. The pad for the back of the head has been detached. This helmet comes with a LOA from JT Sports for the game use.
