Pittsburgh Pirates Hall of Fame rightfielder Roberto Clemente is commemorated with this stunning Southland bronze figurine. A member of the 3,000 Hit Club and a consummate champion, Clemente led the Pirates to two World Series titles during his legendary career. Clemente was a 15-time All-Star and a 12-time Gold Glove award winner. In 1966, Clemente was honored with the National League MVP trophy after putting up a Triple Crown slash of .317/29/119 with 31 doubles and 11 triples. This figurine shows Clemente in a batting pose standing atop a 7 x 5.25-inch oval base. This item is a limited edition 14 of 200, although only a few examples of this figurine were produced due to a lawsuit that halted production. The figurine measures approximately 10 inches tall, and a “ROBERTO CLEMENTE” plaque is affixed to the base. A plaque that reads “Southland Art Casting, Inc / Roberto Clemente / 14/200” is affixed to the bottom of this tremendous figurine.
