Playing for his father’s old team, Junior combined with Sean Casey and Barry Larkin to make the Reds a viable competitor again. Unfortunately, Griffey’s all-out way of playing caught up with him in the form of a succession of debilitating injuries that shortened his playing time. This Louisville Slugger C271 model bat shows outstanding use. The barrel exhibits many ball marks with white leather ball scuffs and blue ink transfers. Red bat rack paint streaks are visible along with cleat imprints. The handle has been taped in a crisscross pattern to enhance the grip. This is a perfect gamer from one of the most naturally talented men to ever play the game. The bat comes with a perfect GU 10 rating and a corresponding LOA from PSA/DNA (1B06913) for the game use.
