When he took over the head coaching duties at Indiana University, lots of pressure was on the shoulders of Bobby Knight. He responded with three NCAA Championships, including the last undefeated season in 1976. His first title won at Indiana was the 1973 Big Ten Championship, Knight’s first Final Four team which lost to UCLA 70-59 in the National Semi-Finals. This solid 10K gold ring was presented to Knight for his team’s achievements, and is the actual ring owned by Bobby Knight for 30 years. The top has the Indiana “IU” imprinted on a red stone, surrounded by “INDIANA 1973 BIG 10 CHAMPIONS” in raised relief. One shank has “BIG TEN NCAA MIDEAST CHAMPIONS” with a basketball and hoop combination. The other shank has a basketball player with a ribbon which has the name “KNIGHT.” Engraved with JOSTENS 10K, this ring weighs 20 grams and is size 10 ½. A very impressive ring, owned by the man who set the record for most collegiate basketball victories. Excellent condition. Comes with signed letter of authenticity from Bobby Knight himself.
