Colin Powell is one of the most respected United States Military figures of the last century. A four-star general, Powell served as head of the National Security Council in the Reagan administration and chairman of the joint chiefs-of-staff in the George W. Bush’s administration. Powell was the first African-American man to hold this lofty position. Later, he became Secretary of State under George W. Bush.
Presented here is a copy of his autobiography, “My American Journey”. He signed the first page of this book, under his portrait, in gray pencil as “C.L. Powell”. This item comes with a LOA from University Archives.
