Offered is a 1929-31 era Official American League E.S. Barnard baseball that has been signed by three members of the late 1920s Philadelphia Athletics – Hall of Famers Connie Mack and Al Simmons, along with Howard Ehmke. The fourth signature on this baseball is of Hall of Fame umpire Bill McGowan. Mack’s signature is signed prominently across the sweet spot in a now light black pen. Simmons’ signature appears in light black ink on the adjacent east panel. Howard Ehmke’s signature is very light, but still readable and his signature was signed on the north panel. The final signature of umpire Bill McGowan appears in black ink on the south panel above the stamped signature of E. S. Barnard. The ball is in good condition and displays only minor toning. The laces are red and blue with the stampings still present, only slightly diminished from their original condition. This multi-signed baseball comes with a LOA from PSA/DNA (P13057).
