Presented here is a signed 8 x 10 inch photograph of James “Cool Papa” Bell. One of the fastest men in baseball history, Bell was a star in the Negro Leagues for numerous teams, including the Homestead Grays and Pittsburgh Crawfords. He was a member of the 1936 Crawfords, one of the greatest teams in history, that fielded players like Josh Gibson, Satchel Paige, Oscar Charleston, and Judy Johnson. In 1974, Cool Papa Bell was elected to the National Baseball Hall of Fame. He signed this photograph, a close up photo of the legendary center fielder, in black fine tipped marker. This item comes with a JSA COA for the signature.
