Presented is Derek Jeter signed, limited edition (22 of 22) unframed Giclee print of a Billy Lopa painting of the former New York Yankees shortstop at bat from two different angles, against a background of Yankee stadium. Jeter has signed the colorful canvas in silver marker across the center, while the artist has signed “W. Lopa” in silver marker in the lower left corner. The inscription “22/22” is in silver marker in the lower right corner.
The bright splashes of blue, purple, yellow and red capture the Yankees captain at bat, with Jeter swinging from the right side on the left side of the canvas and swinging from the left side on the right side. Working with acrylics, the artist, Billy Lopa, uses a "splatter" technique in which color is applied using a pallet knife. His fusion of bold colors and his splatter technique captures the image and spirit of the athlete in motion. The unframed canvas Giclee print is 21½ x 31½ -inches mounted on a wood frame backgin.
