Despite stumbling their way in losing to St. Louis in the World Series, this was yet another successful campaign for Detroit. This is a B ring, similar to those issued the players. The top of the 10-carat white gold ring features a Detroit “D” symbol in blue stone surrounded by genuine diamonds; “American League Champions” occupies most of the top’s perimeter. One shank shows “D’AMBROSIO” at the top edge with the Detroit “D” below, and the other bears “2006” and a rendering of the A.L. Championship trophy. An impressive size 14.5, the ring weighs 36 grams. Engraved INTERGOLD 10K inside. Overall EX/MT appearance owing to light evidence of wear on the back edge of the band. The ring is accompanied by a high-quality presentation box, a 5” x 8” x 2-1/4”, lidded and polished container made of heavy wood and boasting a lid of etched glass. This is not the original box but was produced based upon the original size and style. Excellent condition.
