Presented here is a black and white canvas photograph of Baltimore Orioles and Cincinnati Reds legend Frank Robinson. Robinson, the owner of 586 Major League home runs, was the first African-American manager in baseball history. An outspoken civil rights activist, Robinson is the only player to win MVP awards in both the American and National Leagues. This photograph portrays Robinson dressed in his Orioles home jersey, looking skyward. He signed the canvas in black Sharpie, adding the inscription “HOF 82”.
