After Mark McGwire broke Roger Maris’ single-season home run total with his 62nd home run during the September 8th, 1998 game against the Chicago Cubs, McGwire continued to hit home runs as he would finish the season with a then-record of 70 home runs. One of those home runs came during the September 18th game against the Milwaukee Brewers at County Stadium. McGwire took Brewers’ pitcher Rafael Roque deep to left center field for his 64th home run of the season. Offered here is a game used baseball from that game. This ball is an Official National League Leonard S. Coleman stamped baseball that displays excellent game use with rubbed dirt and other marks. This ball has been signed by former Major Leaguer Dave Parker, who was the hitting coach with the Cardinals during the 1998 season. Parker signed his name in blue pen on the side panel and inscribed above his signature “9-18-98 GAME USED BALL Big MAC HR #64”. This ball comes with a COA from JSA (EE83136) for Parker’s signature and inscription.
