The 1976 season was the final hurrah for those Big Red Machine teams of the 1970s. But they did go out with a bang, sweeping the New York Yankees in four games to win the 1976 World Series. Game Four was started and won by Gary Nolan, who was presented this exact ring for the Reds achievement that season. The Balfour 10K gold ring has the Commissioner’s Trophy on top with a large diamond in the middle. The perimeter has with “’76 WORLD CHAMPIONS” etched above and below, with “CINCINNATI REDS” in high relief along the sides. The right shank has the name and number “NOLAN 38” sandwiched around their team nickname “BIG RED MACHINE.” The other shank has the series result “REDS 4 YANKS 0” along with an image or Riverfront Stadium and the National League Centennial insignia. This 8.5 size ring weighs 30 grams, and has “BALFOUR 10K” engraved within the band. It is extremely rare a World Series player ring comes available, especially one of such a prominent player from one of the greatest teams of that generation. Excellent condition.
