This baseball was used on September 7th, 2016, a 2-0 Yankee victory over the visiting Toronto Blue Jays. Tyler Austin started this game, finishing 1-3 before being replaced by Aaron Judge in right field. The third “Baby Bomber”, Gary Sanchez, got a much needed day of rest and did not appear in this game.
This baseball was taken out of commission due to a foul ball hit by Chase Headley off of Marcus Stroman in the bottom of the second inning. Gary Sanchez signed the sweet spot of the ball, adding the inscription “Baby Bombers”. Judge signed the panel north of the sweet spot while Austin signed to the south.
