Presented here is a panoramic photograph taken on the surface of the moon by astronaut Gene Cernan. The last man to walk on the moon, Cernan was the commander of the Apollo 17 mission. During the Apollo 17 mission, Cernan spent 22 hours traversing the surface of the moon, longer than any previous NASA mission.
This 40 x 8 inch panoramic photo shows the vast, empty surface of the moon, with the Apollo 17 lunar module on the left. Cernan signed the photograph, adding the inscription “Last Man on the Moon / Apollo XVII”. He wrote his signature in silver marker. This photograph comes with a COA from Steve Grad of Beckett Authentication (B53048).
