Presented is the signature of the late President George H. W. Bush on a silver-painted wood baseball bat commemorating the United States aircraft carrier that bears his name. The 41st President of the United States has signed his name in blue marker to the left of a reproduced color photographic image of the U.S.S. George H. W. Bush. The photo has the caption, in black script, “Christened: October 7, 2006 Commissioned: January 10, 2009.” The center of the bat’s barrel has a blue, black, yellow, white and orange seal with the legend “USS George H. W. Bush CVN 77 Freedom at Work” with a drawing of the ship at sea and an aircraft overhead. To the left of the seal, just above the handle, is another seal, with red, white and blue flag bunting behind it, reading “Presidential Series 41”. The USS George H.W. Bush (CVN-77) is the tenth and final Nimitz-class supercarrier of the United States Navy. The ship’s callsign is Avenger, after the TBM Avenger aircraft flown by then-Lieutenant George H.W.
