Offered is the signature of the late New York Yankees team owner George Steinbrenner on an original oil painting on canvas of the Yankees logo over the skyline of New York City. The image is set within the outline of the United States of America, over a blue and white pinstripe background. Steinbrenner has signed his name in blue marker in the upper center of the Yankees logo, which is painted in red, white and blue by famed artist Gary Longordo. Longordo has signed is name in black paint and inscribe “’05” in the lower right corner. During Steinbrenner's 37-year ownership from 1973 to his death in July 2010, the longest in club history, the Yankees earned seven World Series titles and 11 pennants. The painting is set within a white paper matte with black border, within a 22 x 26-inch black wood frame. This item comes with a COA from JSA (A43790).
