The Washington Senators Hall of Famer Goose Goslin is portrayed in this original portrait artwork by the noted sports artist Arthur K. Miller. A well-rounded hitter, Goslin’s 2,735 career hits included 500 doubles, 248 homers, and 173 triples while maintaining a .316 career batting average. The prolific left fielder recorded 11 seasons with 100 or more RBI and won the 1928 American League batting title with a .379 mark. The class of 1968 Hall of Famer won World Series titles in 1924 and 1935 with the Senators and Detroit Tigers.
This full-color portrait shows Goslin in his batting stance. The Salem, New Jersey native is dressed in his pinstriped Senators home whites with a bat over his back shoulder. An out-of-focus crowd is visible behind Goslin. Miller has signed the front and back of this framed artwork.
