Jackie Robinson 70th anniversary auction to benefit JRF ending April 29
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 4/30/2017
This beautiful pennant was crafted in honor of Hank Aaron breaking the Major League home run record in 1974. The sweet swinging Brave hit his 715th career round tripper on April 8th, on the way to finishing his career with a then-record 755 blasts. Still the all-time leader in total bases and RBI, Aaron was inducted into the National Baseball Hall of Fame on his first ballot in 1982.
This pennant is made of off-white felt with a brown end. Aaron is pictured wearing the Braves lowercase “a” cap. Text to the right of his portrait reads “Hank Aaron Home Run King” and Aaron signed the pennant in black marker. This item comes with a LOA from PSA/DNA.
