The late Hector “Macho” Camacho was as known for his flamboyant style and vociferous self-promotion as he was known for his quickness and skill in the ring, wore these presented shorts during his fight against Troy Lowry on February 3rd, 2001 at the Level Nightclub in South Beach, Miami. Camacho, who once was a world champion in three separate weight classes and held the WBC super featherweight title from 1983-1984, faced off against Lowry, defeating the boxer in 10 rounds. These presented shorts are metallic purple, teal, and magenta and feature teal metallic piping on the lateral sides and bottom legs of the shorts. “HECTOR” appears across the front waistband in black tackle twill with metallic purple trim. “CAMACHO” appears across the front of the shorts in black tackle twill with metallic purple trim. A seafoam green and teal tackle twill shark with a googly eye adorns the front and right side of the shorts, with the tail of the shark and “MACHO” appearing on the back of the shorts in black tackle twill with purple metallic trim. The shorts are vibrant and glimmer in a fashion that is almost technicolor in appearance. The fight-used shorts worn by Hector Camacho during his February 3rd, 2001 fight against Troy Lowry comes directly from one of Camacho’s former managers with a corresponding letter of provenance that will be included.
