Hecto “Macho” Camacho had a storied career in boxing, winning world titles in three separate weight classes during his 30-year boxing career. Camacho would face off against Roberto Duran on July 14th, 2001 at the Pepsi Center in Denver, and would outpoint the feared Duran in twelve rounds to secure the Super Middleweight Championship. Presented here is the National Boxing Association Super Middleweight Champion belt given to Camacho after his victory over Roberto Duran. The black Velcro-strapped belt features soft white fabric on the interior that consists of black leather trim. Two circular gold disks adorn the front sides of the belt, and are labeled “Hector Macho Camacho World Super Middleweight Champion” on a gold mirror contained within the disc in black lettering. The second gold-mirrored and laden disk is labeled “Pepsi Center Denver Co. July 14th, 2001.” A large gold, intricately detailed disc on the front of the belt features two golden boxing gloves at the top, six stars laden with CZ stones, and two boxers on opposite sides with a gold-plated military finish with “NATIONAL BOXING ASSOCIATION NBA WORLD CHAMPION” in red, white, and black attached to the center of the large disc that is featured prominently on the front of the belt. Some of the CZ stones are missing, and there are scratches on the gold disk mirrors and the black leather belt features elements of cracking. The NBA World Champion Super Middleweight Champion belt awarded to Hector Camacho Jr. comes directly from one of Camacho’s former managers with a corresponding letter of provenance that will be included.
