Presented here is a handwritten and signed note from one of America’s most famous First Ladies, Jackie Kennedy. With her stunning good looks, exquisite fashion sense, and magnetic charisma, Jackie Kennedy captivated the nation during and after her husband’s short presidency. In this letter, written in blue pen on official White House stationary, Kennedy discusses fabric selection with a “Mr. Nelson”. She wishes to procure a new couch instead of purchasing a new, silk, couch cover, as that would a “waste of good silk” as the former Mrs. Kennedy puts it. Jackie Kennedy signed the very bottom of this short letter, writing “Thanks, JBK”. This letter, which measures 5 x 8 inches, comes with a LOA from PSA/DNA (AB06836).
