Jackie Robinson 70th anniversary auction to benefit JRF ending April 29
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 4/30/2017
Forever remembered as the man who broke the color barrier in baseball, Hall of Fame second baseman Jackie Robinson revolutionized the game with his rare combination of speed and ability to hit for average. Robinson has signed his name in blue pen and inscribed “To Bill Curtis best wishes” on this sepia toned 8 x 10 inch photograph of him in his Montreal Royals uniform. Robinson is shown doing a swing pose with his hands to his left and the bat resting on his back shoulder, all while looking out into the distance from the camera. The background has a fence and some spectators looking on. This signed photograph comes with a full LOA from PSA/DNA (Q09858).
