Offered is a brilliant black and white photograph taken of baseball icon Jackie Robinson during his playing days with the Brooklyn Dodgers. Robinson, the 1947 Rookie of the Year and 1949 National League MVP, is shown taking a follow through in his road Dodgers uniform in what looks like the on-deck area with the stands filling up with fans in the background. The back of the photograph has stamped “EMMET WIGGINS 1419 N. Hudson Ave. Chicago, Illinois” in black and “HARRIS PICTURE FRAME CO. 179 No. Wells St. Chicago 6, 111.” in red. “JACKIE ROBINSON” is handwritten in pencil. This 8 ¼ x 10 inch photograph has been classified Type 1 by PSA/DNA (1P06848).
