The Baltimore Ravens were field goal favorites over the New York Giants coming into Super Bowl XXXV, but turned in one of the greatest defensive performances in Super Bowl history, winning 34-7. The Ravens "D" held the Giants to under 200 total yards, forced five turnovers, with one interception returned for a touchdown. Jamie Sharper started that game for the Ravens as outside linebacker, recorded the first tackle of the game and intercepted a pass. The only points the Giants scored was on a kickoff return in the third quarter. For this lopsided victory, the team was awarded very impressive rings, designed to honor that team. The crest features the Ravens mascot a top of a bed of diamonds, surrounded by a ring of diamonds, and “WORLD CHAMPIONS” in raised relief top and bottom. One shank has the name “SHARPER” with the phrase “SET THE STANDARD”, the Ravens crest and number “55". The other shank has “RAVENS 34 GIANTS 7” with the Super Bowl XXXV logo and year "2000" above, plus the Lombardi trophy with a diamond shaped football. Each side contains the word "INVICTUS" engraved. Inside is engraved with the Jostens insignia and "14K" plus his name "Jamie Sharper" in script. This impressive 14K gold ring weighs a staggering 64 grams, is a size 12 and was presented to Sharper. The Championship Ring is the primary reason why athletes of all team sports compete for the title, and players who receive a Super Bowl ring cherish them more than any other possession. Opportunities to acquire a player issued ring does not occur very often, this is an extremely rare opportunity to acquire an actual player Super Bowl ring. Near Mint condition. LOA from Jamie Sharper
