Presented here is a copy of “The Black Album” signed by Jay-Z. “The Black Album”, released on November 30th, 2003, was the eighth studio album released by the rapper/mogul and was advertised as his final album before retiring, with the theme of retirement prevalent on the lyrics. The album was released to commercial and critical acclaim and sold 463,000 copies and debuted at number 1 on the US Billboard 200, powered by Billboard Top 10 hits “Change Clothes” and “Dirt off Your Shoulder”. The album was nominated for a Grammy Award for Best Rap Album in 2005 and is considered one of the greatest rap albums of all time that continually ranks as one of the greatest albums in music history. This presented CD is signed by Jay-Z across the cover of the CD with the inscription “PEACE!” with a silver metallic paint pen. The signature is bold, and the CD is intact and features an all-black cover with the label “PARENTAL ADVISORY EXPLICIT CONTENT” on the bottom right corner. The CD also features a torn store seal across the top of the CD. A perfect specimen featuring the signature of one of hip-hop’s most influential artists comes with an LOA from JSA for the signature.
