Offered is an original oil painting of football legend Jim Brown, signed and inscribed by the NFL great. Brown came to fame as a running back for the NFL’s Cleveland Browns from 1957 through 1965. Considered to be one of the greatest football players of all time, Brown was a Pro Bowl invitee every season he was in the league, was recognized as the AP NFL Most Valuable Player three times and won an NFL championship with the Browns in 1964. He led the league in rushing yards in eight out of his nine seasons, and by the time he retired, he had shattered most major rushing records.
The portrait of Brown depicts him in uniform (#32) carrying a football in action. Brown’s image is captured in orange, black and brown paint on a white canvas, and has been signed by the artist in the lower right corner, “H. Yines.” The painting is mounted in a 28 ½ x 40 ½-inch brown, gold and black wooden frame. Brown has signed his name in black marker in the lower left center below his image, and inscribed “HOF 71” below his signature. This painting comes with a full LOA from JSA (Z83699).
