Offered are the signatures of Football Hall of Fame quarterback Joe Namath and artist LeRoy Neiman on a 25 x 33-inch lithograph print of the artist’s famous portrait of the Jets QB moments after the historic Super Bowl III victory over the Baltimore Colts. Namath has signed his name in black marker at the bottom center of the print and inscribed “#12” below his signature, while Neiman has signed his name in black pen at the lower right side of the print. The lower edge of the print has the legend “HAMMER GRAPHICS” in black printed below the image of Namath. The artist has captured Namath as he walks off the field in sheer exhaustion after his team’s Superbowl victory over the Baltimore Colts in 1969 in Miami, Florida.
The lithograph is copyrighted 1981. Namath became famous for boldly guaranteeing a Jets' victory over Don Shula's NFL Baltimore Colts in Super Bowl III (played January 12, 1969 at the Orange Bowl in Miami), then making good on his prediction with a 16–7 upset (the win remains the Jets' only Super Bowl appearance).
