Offered is a color photograph of New York Yankees manager Joe Torre and boxing legend Muhammad Ali on the field at the 2004 Major League Baseball All-Star Game in Houston, Texas, signed by both sportsmen in blue marker. The 15x19 inch color print is mounted in a blue and gray cardboard matte with white borders, and is enclosed in a 21x25 inch black wood and glass frame. Torre has signed across his gray New York road jersey, while Ali has signed across his white shirt. They are together on the infield of Houston’s Minute Maid Park on July 13. Torre managed the American League All-Stars, who beat their counterparts in the National League, 9-4, in the 75th MLB All-Star Game.

A former player and manager, Torre ranks fifth all-time in MLB history with 2,326 wins as a manager. With 2,342 hits during his playing career, Torre is the only major leaguer to achieve both 2,000 hits and 2,000 wins as a manager. Ali was heavyweight boxing champion of the world three times, the first fighter to win the title three separate times, with wins over Sonny Liston in 1964, George Foreman in 1974, and Leon Spinks in 1979. This item is marked “16//24” in blue marker at the bottom right corner, over the Major League Baseball logo. This item is accompanied by a Steiner Sports hologram and a MLB Authenticated hologram (MT00503495). A full LOA from JSA authenticates both signatures.
