The late superstar Kobe Bryant has signed this 2004 Western Conference All-Star team jersey. Bryant, an 18-time All-Star, averaged 24.0 points, 5.5 rebounds, and 5.1 assists per game in 2003-04 as the Lakers advanced to the NBA Finals against the Detroit Pistons. Bryant started the 2004 All-Star Game for the West, scoring 20 points on nine of 12 shooting while dishing four assists with five steals. After Bryant’s tragic death in January of 2020, the NBA announced that the All-Star Game MVP trophy would be renamed the NBA All-Star Game Kobe Bryant Most Valuable Player award in memory of the four-time award winner.
This offered Western Conference All-Star jersey features “WEST” sewn diagonally across the chest in blue, white, and red tackle twill. Bryant’s number “8” and “All-Star” are sewn on the chest of the jersey in blue tackle twill, while “BRYANT” is sewn across the back shoulders in the same fashion. A second “8” is sewn on the back of the jersey in blue, white, and red tackle twill. A Lakers logo patch is sewn on the back outside collar. A Mitchell & Ness tag with an attached “48(XL)” flag is sewn on the front left tail below a “February 15, 2004 / Kobe Bryant” swatch. Bryant has signed the “8” digit on the back of this jersey in silver marker. The jersey comes with a Panini hologram and a LOA from JSA.
