Eric Davis, the Cincinnati Reds fleet-of-foot center fielder, wore this jacket during the Reds second era of dominance, in the late 1980s and early 1990s. A two-time All-Star and a member of the Reds 1990 World Series winning team, Davis displayed a rare combination of speed and power, once hitting 37 home runs and stealing 50 bases in the same season. With three Gold Gloves and two Silver Sluggers sitting in his trophy case, “Eric the Red” was one of the most exciting and fun players of his era.
This red nylon Starter jacket has “Cincinnati” sewn across the chest in white tackle twill. A Reds logo is sewn on the upper left sleeve in white tackle twill. Red and white bands border the sleeve, collar, and waist of the jacket. A Starter size “L” tag with “44” written on it in black marker is sewn on the inside back collar. Davis signed the upper right chest area of the jersey in black marker, adding the inscription “90 W/S Champs!!”. This jersey comes with a LOA from noted game used jersey expert Dave Miedema and displays terrific use and a COA from PSA/DNA (AC83603) for the signature.
