Over 50 years since Led Zeppelin was formed in London, the music they created still resonates. It continues to pop up in commercials, movies, TV shows and other popular media. (For many, the inclusion of "Immigrant Song" in two key scenes in the Marvel Studios "Thor Ragnarok" was a triumph in and of itself!) Long after "album sales" have been surpassed by downloads and streaming, Led Zeppelin's music is still listened to wherever people listen to music. The sounds of the 1970s have survived well into the 21st century but Led Zeppelin stands head and shoulders above the rest. For rockers who came of age in the 1960s, it was the blues that inspired them. Rock bands always fooled around with doing the blues louder and with less finesse, of course, but beyond that, folks like Eric Clapton were their models with their serious explorations of the blues. Jimmy Page put an end to all of that with Led Zeppelin, the band that broke the blues and created something new, whether you call it hard rock or heavy metal, they set the standard going forward.

Presented is a Led Zeppelin group signed "Led Zeppelin" LP record album with all 4 signatures of the original members of the legendary group, Including Jimmy Page, Robert Plant, John Bonham and John Paul Jones. The four founding members of "The Biggest Band in the World" signed the front cover of the album in blue pen, at the center and lower left accompanying the black and white historical photograph of the German zeppelin "Hindenburg" exploding at the landing field in Lakehurst, New Jersey on May 6, 1937. The late drummer Bonham inscribed "For Chris" above his signature, which appears at the center, while Page, Plant and Jones signed below. This was their debut album, with the title "Led Zeppelin", which was released in the US during the band's first tour on January 12 1969. It peaked at No. 10 on the Billboard chart; it was released in the UK, where it peaked at No. 6, on March 31st. According to rock critic Steve Erlewine, the album's memorable guitar riffs, lumbering rhythms, psychedelic blues, groovy, bluesy shuffles and hints of English folk music made it "a significant turning point in the evolution of hard rock and heavy metal". The group-signed record jacket has the album's title printed in orange at the upper left, with the Atlantic Records logo also in orange at the bottom right. The back cover of the jacket features a group photo of the foursome in an orange-tinted image, with the album tracks, album name, logos and other liner notes printed in black. The 33 1/3 RPM record album is intact in a white paper sleeve inside the album jacket. Notable tracks on the debut record include "Dazed and Confused" and "Communication Breakdown". This comes with a LOA from Beckett Authentication.
