As the greatest baseball player of all time, and certainly the most popular player during his playing days, Babe Ruth was also was of the nicest, most impressive caretakers of his appearance. From his dapper custom suits to his famous camel-haired coats, Ruth was very well presented when out on the town – which he did quite often. In addition, to his clothing, Ruth was also a fan of men’s rings. Offered here is a size 9/7.4 gram 18K white gold personally owned Babe Ruth ring, complete with a half carat diamond on the face and a sapphire on each side. Inside is stamped “18K” with some other etchings which have lightly worn away, making them indistinguishable. This ring shows all the great use Ruth attached to this ring, with general overall wear including several scratches and light nicks. Personally owned Babe Ruth items are extremely rare, and highly desirable. This ring comes with a video and images of Babe wearing the ring, and was originally given to Agnes Merritt, who was not only the sister of Claire Merritt Ruth (Babe's wife) but also his personal nurse when he was ill with cancer. Her nephew was willed the ring and consigned it to our auction, and it comes with his letter of authenticity.
