The winner of nine World Series titles and three AL MVP awards, “Joltin’ Joe” DiMaggio will forever be recognized as one of the greatest New York Yankees, and baseball players, of all-time. Known for his incredible offensive production and dynamic defense --- Marilyn Monroe was arguably his best catch --- DiMaggio was a no-brainer for Hall of Fame induction in 1955. Put yourself in DiMaggio’s shoes with this iconic 1940s-50s era Spalding 133 model split-finger baseball glove, an exact replica to the one worn by “The Yankee Clipper” during most of his days in pinstripes. The vintage leather mitt shows some real character with its varying brown color. A branded “Joe DiMaggio” signature appears on the inside pinky of the glove, just to the right of a “Spalding” manufacturer’s marking and “133” model number display. A wrist strap on the mitt boasts “Spalding” scripted across the leather, with a gold “Spalding” button for fastening. The pocket of the glove is attached by four laces, one of which is detached in the lower corner. Overall, the 60-to-70-year-old mitt is in wonderful condition and would make for a fabulous show piece. The DiMaggio model glove is PSA/DNA certified, number “1G00188.”
