Mel Bennett and Brad Branson wore this classic Cleveland Cavaliers maroon warm-up jacket for parts of the 1981-82 season. The number “52”, which was worn by both Branson and Bennett, is written in marker on the Medalist Sand-Knit tag. This size 48 jacket features the old Cavaliers logo on the back, which is screen printed in gold and white. The size 40 maroon pants have white and gold stripes down the side and have the pull-away buttons. The number “20” is sewn on in a small patch next to the Medalist Sand-Knit manufacturer’s tag.
The MacGregor white sand-knit snap front Cleveland Cavaliers long-sleeved warm-up jacket is dated to the 1986-87 season. The “CAVS” logo with the “V” as a basket is located in the upper left chest and is sewn on in orange and blue tackle twill. The NBA logo is sewn on in the upper right chest. The same “CAVS” logo is sewn on the back of the jacket and orange and blue stripes run down the sleeves. These items come with a full LOA from noted game used expert Dave Miedema.
