Encapsulated and assessed "Authentic/Altered" by PSA. Hall of Famer. Here's an incredible career-contemporary, vintage souvenir that captures the image of famed slugger Babe Ruth. The scarce piece was distributed only as a promotional item, one of several desirable gifts sponsored by Quaker Oats during the company's mid-1930s endorsement agreement with the American icon. The portrayal shows Ruth gazing at the trajectory of one of his just-hit long balls, and the photo bears his facsimile signature and inscription, reading, "To My Pal / from / Babe Ruth." Crystal clarity has been retained in the image. The edges reveal irregularities consistent with trimming, and the back carries spots of adhesive and paper residue; these features are suggestive of one-time scrapbook mounting. This is an extremely impressive piece, with a fabulous Ruthian likeness at its center.
