Cano hit .342 for the 2006 season and led the league in two of the most important clutch categories: batting average after the 6th inning (.353) and batting average on the road (.364). His ability to come through when the Yanks needed it most enabled them to make it to the post-season that fall. As befits the club used by “the hardest working second baseman in the game”, this Rawlings 456B bat shows excellent use and is un-cracked. The barrel displays several ball marks and stitch impressions with blue ink transfers. The bat’s handle and knob have been wrapped in blue athletic tape and coated in pine tar to enhance Cano’s grip. The model “456B”, order number “649” and year “06” have been stamped into the bat’s knob end and the weight “32” and “Cano” have been written in black ink. The Yankees star has signed the barrel in black and added his number “22” and “Game Used 2006 ALDS”. Letter of Authenticity 1B04896 from PSA/DNA.
