This highly-unusual item may be the only one of its kind, signed by both authors of one of the most storied comedic routines in history. Depicted in this 7.5x9.5β photo are the one and only Bud Abbott and Lou Costello, accompanied by unidentified naval service personnel and one Harry Ettling. Affiliated with the San Francisco Stage Door Canteen, Ettling was the recipient of the personalized photo, signed in green ink; βTo Harry Ettling, from your pals, Lou Costello, Bud Abbott.β The signatures remain quite vivid and the photo itself is affixed to a piece of yellowing scrapbook paper. There is a little blotting at the bottom of the photo, apparently soaked through from the glue used on the scrapbook page. Item is accompanied by JSA/LOA.
