During his Hall of Fame career, “Bullet” Bob Feller was considered one of the best pitchers of his time. This Official National League ball is signed not once, but twice, by the right-hander, on the occasion of one of his dozen one-hitters. This one came in a 5-0 shutout over the St. Louis Browns on April 22, 1947,Feller's 139th career win. A somewhat faded signature, apparently the original, says “Best Wishes Bob Feller” in pen, while a more vivid blue ballpoint pen inscription reads “4-22-27, Bob Feller, Cleveland Indians, Game Ball” on one panel, and the game score “Indians 5, Browns 0, one hitter” on the other. The ball itself shows toning and is somewhat faded, and there are a couple of tape marks apparently from a prior display, but the latter inscription is quite vivid. MEARS LOA/JSA Certified.
