Great image featuring two members of baseball’s inaugural Hall of Fame class. This 1941 photo measures 6” x 7 ½”, and depicts the two legends enjoying a laugh after a golf match. Original caption on back from 7/30/41 titled “Cobb Tops Ruth In Golf Series” reads “Babe Ruth (left) raises the hand of Ty Cobb in token of victory after the old time Tiger outfielder scored a 3-2 victory in the third and deciding golf match series for benefit of United Service Organizations, July 29.” This incredible image comes with an LOA from PSA/DNA who have authenticated the photo as a Type 1.
