Davey Johnson, a former MLB second baseman and manager who is known for winning everywhere he’s been. He’s done everything from starting as batboy for the old Washington Senators, to working his way to become a World Champion. He won two World Series Championships as a player with the Baltimore Orioles and one as a manager with the New York Mets. Johnson is also a four time MLB All-Star and a three time Gold Glove Award Winner. As a manager he could be seen in the dugout jumping for joy when the ball went through Bill Buckner’s legs in 1986 and was seen running out from the dugout onto the field in outrage when Jeffrey Maier turned Derek Jeter’s fly out into a home run in 1996. Presented here, from the man who has been everywhere and seen everything in baseball, is 6 game used hats spanning his career. Signed in silver ink with “Game Used 2003,” is a Nederland’s Baseball Cap from when Johnson was a bench coach for The Netherlands 2004 Olympic team. Also signed is a pair of Sports Specialties New York Mets hats, a pair of New Era Baltimore Orioles hats and a New Era Los Angeles baseball hat. Each cap is signed in silver ink on the brim with the “Game Used” inscribed below the signatures. PSA/DNA Pre-Certified.
