Sheff started off the April 7, 2007 Tigers-Royals game with a 1st inning home run using this bat. The Rawlings Big Stick Pro shows light game use with a very slight handle crack. Both the lower and upper handle has a coat of pine tar and the knob end has been wrapped and padded with adhesive tape as is Sheff's custom. To note the bat's significance the slugger has signed the barrel in blue marker adding "Career HR #456 1st HR as a Tiger 4/7/07 vs. Kansas City Royals Pitcher Gil Meche".
