Joe Sewell is a MLB Hall of Fame shortstop for the Cleveland Indians who ended his career playing for the New York Yankees. He went on to win two World Series Championships, one with both teams. According to legend, Sewell played his entire career using only one bat, which he kept in working order by rubbing it with a Coke bottle and seasoning it with chewing tobacco. Included in this lot are Hall of Fame postcards signed in blue sharpie marker along the top. Also included are signed photos of Sewell from his playing days with the Yankees. In the pictures Sewell is in his Yankee pinstripes swinging his bat, photos are signed in blue sharpie marker with the inscription, “H.O.F. 1977.” A few other interesting pieces in this assorted lot are signed Cleveland Indians business cards as well as signed National Baseball HOF guest admission passes along with an envelope addressed to Sewell containing an athletic ticket from the University of Alabama. These items are PSA Pre-Certified.
