Two-time World Series champion shortstop and three-time All-Star Bucky Dent single-handedly won the AL East pennant for the Yankees in 1978 when his 3-run homer proved the difference in the one-game playoff against Boston. This great gamer dates from the 1977-79 seasons during which Dent was the toast of New York City. The Hillerich & Bradsby R161 model bat shows heavy use and a cracked handle with a 1 ¼” piece of wood missing from the crack. The barrel shows several ball marks with stitch impressions along with cleat marks. A light coat of pine tar is on the bat’s handle. Dent’s number “20” is hand written on the knob end in black marker. Letter of Authenticity (H53898) from PSA/DNA.
