Hersh was a one-time All Star outfielder who suited up for the A's (1937-40) and Yankees (1944-45). He was also an accomplished minor-league player and manager. This Balfour 10K-gold, size 10 ring was bestowed upon Martin during his lengthy tenure as a Mets scout—and it is one of only two known examples, with the other having sold at auction in 2006 for over $2,300. Evidently, these team rings were quite exclusive and only presented to elite front-office personnel. There are 2 points' worth of diamonds and 4 points' worth of rubies. "H.M." is engraved inside the band. EX/MT condition. A 2003 purchase LOA accompanies.
