This program from the 1934 World Series played between the St. Louis Cardinals and the Detroit Tigers features an image of the Apotheosis of St. Louis, a statue of King Louis IX of France, the namesake of St. Louis, Missouri, which was the symbol of the city for more than a century set against a red background. Inside the program are black & white action photographs of the Cardinals players in various baseball stances. The St. Louis Cardinals would go on to win the World Series in a 11-0 Game 7 trouncing, defeating the Detroit Tigers 4 games to 3. The program is in very good condition with some light edge wear and slight discoloration on the rear cover. The scorecard is unscored and all pages are intact.
