This program from the 1938 World Series played between the New York Yankees and the Chicago Cubs features a glossy front cover with a baseball that appears to be floating in space surrounded by stars. On the baseball is an image of North America, as if the front cover is saying that the world revolves around baseball and the World Series, which had surely gripped the attention of baseball fans the world over. Two big pennants representing each leagues are attached to long skinny poles which fill out the rest of the cover. Inside we find an entertaining look at the players from both teams, as big photographs of just the players heads are present, that appear to just be floating around different parts of the field. The scorecard inside the program is filled out in pencil. This series saw the Yankees sweep the Cubs and the Yankees would not appear again at Wrigley field until an inter league match-up between the two clubs in 2003. The program presents in excellent condition.
