The Cincinnati Reds outlasted the Detroit Tigers to win the 1940 World Series in seven games. It was also the first World Series title for the Reds since the tainted 1919 “Black Sox” scandal. This 48-page un-scored program from Crosley Field in Cincinnati is in excellent condition with bright red, white and blue color scheme with clean cover (light edge wear), clean pages and full, intact spine. There are many photos of each team and player, including a nice centerfold Reds team photo which has become loose from the program. All pages are present and the program is in nice condition overall.
