This program from the 1943 World Series played between the New York Yankees and the St. Louis Cardinals features various military servicemen on the front cover. Inside the program are black and white photographs of players from both teams as well as short player biographies. The scorecards on the inside have not been filled out. Due to WWII both teams had a depleted line-up but the series was a welcome break for fans of the game from the horrors of war. The Yankees would go on to defeat the Cardinals
4 games to 1 to win the 1943 World Series.
